Bharat Ratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi

There could not be a happier moment for a classical music lover. Pt Bhimsen Joshi - the maestro of Hindustani Vocal classical music has been selected for Bharat Ratna - India's highest civilian award this year. Even though unfortunately I have never had a chance to listen to his divine vocal performance live, I am extremely proud today to see him honored by the government with this award.

Long live Panditjee. We are proud of you!

Savai Gandharv is a music festival which is organized in Pune every year. This is similar to Saptak we have but the scale is quite large and the audience even larger. Planning to attend the same.
