Life's a Trip

I went to our local grocery store yesterday, wearing my good old UMM T-shirt which has 'UMM - Life is a Trip' written on the front.

One jolly old fellow looked at it and said, 'Hey, you think life is a trip? With a one way ticket or return? Do you believe in re-incarnation?'

And I was thinking ... Hmm .. Interesting observation ! Is life a one way trip? Or it is actually a return trip. You go back to where you have come from. No strings attached. Visit an exotic place called 'Planet Earth', stay on an extended vacation, and go back. Go back where? Back home?

Do we begin where we had ended, and do we end where we had begun?

Is there life after death?

Who has the answer to these questions?

Reminds me of the lyrics of Waqt ne Kiya (Kagaz ke Phool):

Jayenge kahan, soojhtaa nahin
Chal pade magar, raastaa nahin
Kya talaash hai, kuch pata nahin
Bun rahe hain din, khwab dam-ba-dam

The topic of reincarnation is indeed intriguing. But as scientific mind, I fail to accept the things which can not be validated by proofs. It is difficult for me to believe in God too. But I have somehow managed to remain a Believer.

Somethings are only to be believed. You might want proof of everything. But then your head won't accomodate some of the truths of life. Something is always left untouched.
Infinity.

Well that's really interesting observation. Once Swami Vivekanand said that whatever you think lives. That is thoughts also have life and they live. And they come back to you. (If not in this life than other).
